Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about resizing signature images.

Is my signature image uploaded to a server?
No. The entire resize process runs in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your signature never leaves your device.
Can I resize in centimeters?
Yes. Switch the unit toggle to CM and enter your dimensions. The tool converts to pixels using the standard 96 PPI conversion (1 cm = 37.795 px) before drawing to the canvas.
Why would I need a minimum file size in KB?
Many government forms and portals require uploaded signatures to be at least a certain file size (e.g. 10 KB or 20 KB). The KB padding option appends harmless null bytes to the file so it meets the minimum without changing the image visually.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported for upload. The output is saved as PNG by default, or WebP if the original was WebP.
Will my signature be distorted when resizing?
Not if you keep the aspect ratio lock enabled. With the lock on, changing one dimension automatically adjusts the other to preserve the original proportions.
