What image formats are supported?
The compressor supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. JPEG and WebP use quality stepping, PNG uses palette quantization plus lossless filter testing, and GIF uses lossless palette re-encoding.
Will compression reduce my image quality?
For most web images the quality loss is imperceptible. JPEG and WebP compress to a minimum quality of 68, still visually excellent. PNG palette quantization is entirely lossless at 256 colors.
What does "0% savings" mean?
The image was already well-optimized and compression could not produce a smaller result. The original is returned unchanged, you never receive a file larger than what you uploaded.
What is the maximum file size?
Each individual file can be up to 30 MB. There is no hard limit on the number of files you can batch compress in a single session.
Are my images stored on the server?
Files are temporarily stored only to facilitate the ZIP download and are automatically deleted within 1 hour. They are never shared, indexed, or used for any other purpose.
