How to use the Age Calculator

1

Pick your date of birth

Open the Date of Birth field and select your DOB from the calendar. The picker accepts any year up to today.

2

Choose the target date

By default we use today, so the result is your current age. Change the second field if you want to know your age on a past or future date, useful for retirement planning or eligibility checks.

3

Read the result

Your headline age appears in years, months, and days. Below it you get total weeks, hours, minutes, a live seconds counter, your birth weekday, days until next birthday, plus your zodiac and Chinese zodiac.

Age Calculator

A precise way to know your age, down to the second

Counting age by hand is fine until a leap year shows up or someone asks the question on the day before a birthday. The Pixellize Age Calculator does the math for you using the proper Gregorian calendar rules, so the years, months, and days you see are exact rather than rounded.

Beyond the headline figure, the tool gives you total months, total weeks, total days, total hours, total minutes, and a seconds counter that ticks live while the page is open. Useful for filling forms, school admissions, eligibility checks, and the small thrill of seeing exactly how many seconds you have lived so far.

What this Age Calculator gives you

Exact years, months, and days

Proper calendar math, including leap years, so the result is accurate down to the day. No rounding, no fractional months.

Live lifetime totals

Total months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds you have lived. The seconds counter updates every second the page is open.

Next birthday countdown

See exactly how many days are left until your next birthday and the day of the week it lands on. Useful for planning gifts, leave, and travel.

Western and Chinese zodiac

Get your sun sign with its date range, plus the animal of your Chinese zodiac year. A small fun bonus on top of the practical math.

Day of the week you were born

The calculator names the weekday of your date of birth, computed from the Gregorian calendar. A common ice-breaker question that no longer needs Googling.

Private by design

All math runs in your browser. Your date of birth is never sent to a server and nothing is stored or logged.

Age Calculator FAQ

How is age calculated exactly?
We compare your date of birth to the target date using calendar arithmetic. If the day of the target month is earlier than the day of birth, the months value is reduced by one and the days are filled in from the previous month. The Gregorian calendar and leap years are handled correctly.
Can I find my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the Calculate Age On field to any date you like, and the result updates immediately. Handy for working out how old someone was on an event, or how old you will be by a future deadline.
Why does the seconds counter change but the years do not?
Years, months, and days only change when an actual day boundary is crossed. The seconds and minutes counters update live because the elapsed time since your birth ticks forward continuously.
Is my date of birth saved or sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation runs in your browser using JavaScript. The date never leaves your device. Refresh the page and the value is gone.
Does it work for very old or very recent dates?
Yes. The browser date input accepts any year, and the math is identical regardless of how far back the date goes. Tested for dates from the 1700s to today and works for newborns down to the same day.
How do I share the result?
Use the Copy Summary button to copy a clean text version, or the Share button which uses your device's native share sheet on mobile. On desktop, Share copies a sentence and the page link to your clipboard.
