Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about generating meta tags.

Where do I paste the generated meta tags?
Paste all generated tags inside the <head> section of your HTML, before the closing </head> tag. In WordPress, you can use a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers to add them without editing theme files.
What is the difference between Open Graph and Twitter Card tags?
Open Graph tags (og:*) control how your page appears when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, and most other platforms. Twitter Card tags (twitter:*) are used by X (Twitter) to create rich media cards. For maximum coverage you should include both sets.
Do I need to fill in every field?
No. Only fill in the fields that are relevant to your page. At minimum, a title and meta description are recommended. The generator only outputs tags for fields you have filled in.
Does this tool send my data anywhere?
No. The entire generator runs in your browser. None of your content is sent to a server, it is completely private and works offline once the page is loaded.
