Will the rotation be permanently saved in the PDF?
Yes. The downloaded file uses browser PDF tool to write the rotation into the PDF page metadata permanently. When you open the downloaded file in any PDF viewer, the pages will appear at the correct orientation without needing any manual rotation.
Does rotation affect text, images, or links?
No. Only the rotation metadata stored in the PDF page header is changed. All page content including text, images, annotations, and hyperlinks is preserved exactly. The tool does not re-render or re-compress the page content in any way.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
The tool works with unencrypted PDFs. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs may fail to load or save. You would need to remove the password protection first before rotating. Use the Unlock PDF tool on this site to remove the password, then rotate.
What rotation increments are supported?
The tool rotates in 90° increments: 90° left (counterclockwise), 90° right (clockwise), and by clicking twice you get 180°. You can click multiple times to reach any multiple of 90°. The badge on each card shows the accumulated rotation angle (0°, 90°, 180°, or 270°).
